MITSUBISHI MOTORS UK GOLDEN JUBILEE TOUR

As part of a year of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, we have pleasure in inviting owners of officially imported Mitsubishi cars that have been supplied via the UK dealer network, to apply to join us for a truly memorable day of Mitsubishi motoring and fellowship.

 

​The Mitsubishi Motors UK Golden Jubilee Tour will take place on Saturday 21st September and feature 50 vehicles manufactured between 1974 and the present day.

​

This prestigious event follows in the footsteps of the two previous vehicle tours organised by the company: the 40th Anniversary Tour held in 2014 and the Centenary Tour of 2017 that celebrated 100 years of the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Both were heralded as a great success and enjoyed by all - so-much-so, they are still being talked about today!

What’s in store for the Golden Jubilee Tour:

​

Entrants will assemble at Mitsubishi Motors UK headquarters at Watermoor Point in Cirencester for a briefing and breakfast, before embarking on a route of just over 100 miles through the beautiful Cotswold countryside and visiting many of the region’s enchanting villages. Stopping at a series of check points located at places of interest, the tour will conclude at Badminton House.

 

Famous for its International Horse Trials that was sponsored by Mitsubishi Motors UK for 25 years consecutively, entrants will have the opportunity to drive through the estate’s impressive grounds before gathering at the finish for refreshments and a prizegiving ceremony, when owners of the winning cars in each category will be presented with an award.

 

All entrants will receive a commemorative finishers’ award. An official photographer will be there to capture the occasion. There will also be an award for the ‘best-dressed’ crew, with drivers and passengers encouraged to wear outfits commensurate to the period of their car.

Application for entry:

 

Entry applications are now open to owners of UK-specification Mitsubishi cars, LCVs, SUVs and 4x4s only.

Each application will be assessed for suitability and relevance, in keeping with the spirit of the event and criteria of entry.

Successful entries will be charged £50 per car and two people.

Additional passengers will be permitted for an additional fee of £25

The closing date for entries is 31st July 2024.

 

Event features:

 

  • 100-mile route through the Cotswolds

  • Start and light breakfast at Mitsubishi Motors UK headquarters, Cirencester, Gloucestershire

  • Awards for best cars in each category

  • Award for best-dressed crew

  • Easy-to-follow directions printed in a souvenir road book

  • Commemorative finishers’ award and photo

  • Official photographer

  • Finish at Badminton House with refreshments and prizegiving ceremony

  • 15% of the entry fee will be shared as a charitable donation equally between The British Heart Foundation and The Red Cross.

I have read the terms and conditions governing the Event and agree to be bound by them. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and my being permitted to take part in the Event, I agree to hold harmless and keep indemnified Mitsubishi Motors in the UK  (The Promoter) such person, persons or body as may be authorised by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK to promote or organise the Event including its officials, servants, representatives and agents together with other entrants and participants, from and against all claims, costs, expenses (including legal expenses) , and demands in respect of death, injury (so far as permitted by law) or damage to property of myself, drivers, passengers, or associated personnel, arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 31st July 2024.

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK will not share your details other than for the purposes of the Event.
